the vet is insanely expensive.. our dog passed a few months ago and im reluctant to get another one just because of how much money we spent at the vet, and that was with pet insurance that ran me $215/month

Just dropped $900+ because a dog coincidentally developed a cyst on his "wrist" after spraining it, and couldn't walk until the cyst disappeared on its own (about 2 freakin' hours after we shelled out the money).

But I choose not to even imagine a life without having dogs.

I've had a dog the majority of my life, but only have had two. The first one was 18 and the other 13.5, so about 80% of my life I've had one of those 2 in it

I've had them for most of my life. We maxed out at a dozen at once, but it's usually between 2 and 4. They are pack animals, so we try to always have a minimum of 2.

im allergic to them so i usually have to get hypoallergenic breeds

id love to have like 4-5 german shepards, especially for my son. Love huskies but dont think i could keep up with their energy levels.. a belgian malinois would be awesome, but a lot of work

im not insanely allergic, i still pet and play with any dog i get access to and just deal with the allergies.. but in terms of having one that lives with me thats unfortunately something i have to factor in
