In terms of criminality, that first case had better have more to it that a kid trying to shoo a cat off of a car.

That's terrible. Hopefully, the full details lead to actual, appropriate, discipline and changes.
It happens more often than you think.
I know about it. It's always bad, it's usually whitewashed, and it's rarely led to the problem getting fixed. We have a huge problem with law enforcement, one that is 100% the fault of the politicians/citizenry, and that is that giving the police the benefit of the doubt evolved to giving the police almost full reign, near-complete immunity, and far more white knighting than any group in history has ever deserved, over the course of the years.
How the fuck does a judge, when presented with a warrant submission for something like this (armed raid, no knock, etc) not immediately hand it back requiring supporting documentation as to the address and residents? A cop could stop by the property office (plain clothes) and get a copy of the lease - a much easier warrant to serve. Right there you've got "Al Jones" on the lease, and "Bob Smith" as the subject of the warrant. Hmmm - maybe we fucked up?
The 4th amendment (and the versions of it in state constitutions) is viewed by police, politicians and judges as an inconvenience to be circumvented, even while paying it lip service, rather than as a right to be protected. That's true on the state level as well as the federal.
Some of these cops get so mad when someone refuses to give them an ID. They can't believe someone told them no. They think they're our lord and masters. We must bow down to their every whim.
It's not like the old days. Today, they are taught to be aggressive and dominant in most encounters.
This prick is getting paid very well to protect the public. Is he doing a good job?

i live in the country. i got pulled over,in broad daylight,not far from where i lived because some narc behind me thought i was weaving. i was trying to see if i was clear to pass-1 lane rd each way. so these robocops from the sheriff's office pull me over,have TWO guys come up to my window,1 on each side,then they start verbally browbeating me. despite my nature,i kept calm and answered tonelessly,which irked them more,and they started to try to bait me.
