General chit chat and shit talk.

Im a bit biased age group and all so I'll give this a go @everyone

1. Jordan 6 Rings , definition of killer in the court, transcended globally

2. Gretzky: Great One for a reason that nickname goes hard and has about every unbeatable record

3. Messi: I'd pick CR7 but Messi has every trophy imaginable and dudes literally cried the day he won the World Cup.

4. Ruth: To this day still talked about as a GOAT

5. Ali cultural icon and memorable boxing moments

6. Brady GOAT in the NFL but not really as known worldwide

7. Woods he would've placed higher but the end of his career has been murky and kinda ruined it

8. Serena cause I dont really care for lady sports sorry @HSanders and @Dingleberry @Mazz22

  1. Ruth - far and away the top choice, and the best to ever play the game
  2. Ali - This high not because of his boxing, as there have been better fighters and others on this list would be above him if it was just about the sports, but because of his non-athletic impact
  3. Gretzky - following the impact of Orr, the league waned a bit. Gretzky reversed that and grew it even more. Top 3 NHL player all time, with Orr and Howe
  4. Woods - Second only to jack, and he both brought in a new audience and forced the rest of the players to change the way they prepared for a solo sport
  5. Brady - The greatest to ever throw the ball, he took a historically derided team and turned it into the greatest dynasty in league history. Then he left and won it all for the losingest team in league history, and changed that culture in less than one season
  6. Jordan - Not the best to ever play the sport but, like only a few others, he revolutionized the game, took the league to a global level, and basically installed Nike as the behemoth of sneakers and sporting attire
  7. Messi - It's soccer, and he's not Pele, but he is an all-time great and soccer is more impactful than women's tennis
  8. Serena - Like Woods, she and her sister really opened the door for both black players and black fans. Like Woods, she took advantage of being a dominant player in a down era. Like so many on this list, she's arguably her sport's G.O.A.T., but she never really had a viable long term rival to really show us what she was made of. And it's women's tennis, which limits her position on the list.

Interesting
You'd take Ruth over Aaron and Mays then
Won't even mention Bonds even though to me he's the best I've seen even without the roids

He was an all star pitcher with a lifetime era of 2.28, and the greatest hitter to ever swing a bat. In 1919, he led the league with 29 home runs, and 2nd place was 12. In 1920, he led the league with 54 home runs, and 2nd place was 14. In 1921, he led the league with 59, and 2nd place was 23. In his prime, there was Ruth and everyone else, even though he absolutely trashed his body through excess.

His career as a hitter:

His career as a pitcher:

More than that, though, Ruth changed the game in ways that are incalculable, both on and off the field. And, his impact was, in some ways, bigger than celebrity/political fame and impact of the era. From "The house that Ruth built" to "The World's most famous belly ache" to "Anyway, I had a better year than he did", to hitting the first All Star game home run and making a game saving catch later on in that contest, to so many other things...

What is fact is that Ruth’s career marks against Hall of Fame pitchers are exceptional. He went 214-for-632, which translates to a .339 average. Add to that 47 home runs, 149 walks, and 140 strikeouts. Those numbers are strikingly close to his regular-season career averages: .342 batting average, 46 homers, 133 walks, and 86 strikeouts.

Even Against Hall of Fame Hurlers, Babe Ruth Was King of Swing

1. Brady - because football

2. Gretzky - not the greatest hockey player ever, but at least he played a manly sport.

3. Ruth - hitter and pitcher greatness. didn't compete against negroes though. and it's baseball, so whatever.

4. Jordan - basketball is extremely gay and boring, but he's the best at it

5. Cassius Clay - i don't use his faggot muslim name. overrated because of his mouth and media darling status

6. Woods - it's golf. what are we doing here?

7. Whoever that chick is in the middle with the baby blue and white striped shirt.

8. Michelle Obama - ladies tennis? are you fucking with me?

This is the definitive ranking @everyone

What a stupid collection of people to put with Brady. Gay. Really gay.

Brady doesn't belong in this group...

1. He went 18-1 and lost to a wild card team when 19-0 was on the line

2. His team cheated to help him win at least 3 super bowls (the others you mentioned don't have a hint of cheating)

3. It took him 15 years to win his first super bowl without Spygate being involved

4. The others on the list...are actually athletic

If you’re taking into account impact to the sport, you can’t really do anything but agree with Deus about Ruth here. I think he underrates Jordan for the same reason (or perhaps because he considers someone else the GOAT), but I can see his arguments.

@Kontradiction @Dingleberry @Lord Guts

I'm not sure which one of you did it, but I'd like to thank you for adding the "Ignore" feature. That saves me from seeing the pathetic, little cocksucker's idiotic posts. I usually don't use an ignore feature, but this fucking asshole adds nothing positive to the board. He's here being a fucking dick because he's starved for attention. He's not going to get it from me after this post.
Personally, I think everyone should just ignore him. Don't give him the attention he craves so much.
Absolutely pathetic piece of shit.

The chiefs/giants kid is special needs and here on a Make A Wish grant. Have some compassion.

And i would never incorporate an Ignore feature because I am not gay. That leaves @Kontradiction who is 100% hetero, and our resident soccer/anime' connoisseur @Lord Guts

I'll let you guess who to thank now.

The other thing...none of those athletes LordGuts mentioned were owned by anyone. Brady was owned by Eli and Peyton.

Also, Brady did not prevent other truly great QBs from going ringless. Jordan did that to many great NBA players like Ewing, Barkley, Stockton, Malone, etc.

Everyone in America knows the Pats cheated...that is not up for debate. Even you people (patriots fans) can't argue otherwise and haven't been able to do so. The best argument you have, and it's a bad one, is that the Pats "accidentally cheated" not knowing the rules, which is non sensical because a) Belichick knows everything and b) the Pats would have stopped filming after being told by the league what they were doing was illegal. instead they kept doing it - obviously because it was helping.

You want to prove that those other players or their teams cheated - not just controversies?

Oh really? Lots of people do, my friend. So you want it swept away like it didn't happen? Spygate will always be a part of Brady and Bill's legacy. It was Bill's program, and Brady was the primary beneficiary
