Bible Verses - please share

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever--
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive
because it neither sees Him nor knows Him;

but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

- John 14:16-17

Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.

- Matthew 5:5

Everyone know this one, but it is often misunderstood. The word being translated into "meek" does not mean what it means to us today. Meek means weak or feeble to us. This is not the meaning of the word Jesus used. It means "gentle" and "kind hearted" and "slow to anger".

All traits exhibited by Jesus. But this shouldn't be interpreted as weakness being a virtue. Jesus was NOT weak.

Be strong....while being gentle, kind hearted, and slow to anger.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

- Hebrews 13:5

If you know that He is righteous,
You know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

1 John 2:29

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
—1 Corinthians 10:13

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it.
—1 Corinthians 10:26

Just got baptized today. I'll share the verses I referenced in my testimonial in a bit...

Congrats. However, considering your participation here, did it come with one of those "Buy 10 Get One Free" punch cards?

My testimonial went well. I had many people tell me it was a mini sermon. Blessed to hear those comments. But my response to compliments is typically the same...

All the good is God, the rest is me.

The verses I used in my baptism testimonial.

Your words were found, and I ate them.
And You word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart.

-Jeremiah 15:16

So many have a one way relationship with God. Prayer. It's a must to talk to God. But it is also a must to listen. This verse is perfect. The word of God is nourishment and sustenance for the soul.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
Baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

-Matthew 28:19

Why we get baptized. Jesus told us to do so.

...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness,
And with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

-Romans 10: 9-10

I love these verses. Believe in your heart, confess with your mouth.

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sin....

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;
It is the gift of God.

-Ephesians 2: 1, 8

Salvation is a gift. The ultimate gift from God!

Only a God who truly loves us would have the discipline to keep original sin, but provide a simple path to wash it away.

[The Lord said] "Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered, his right eye totally blinded!"
—Zechariah 11:17

This verse is the origin of my favorite response when someone commends me: "All the good is God, the rest is me."

Lord, You will establish peace for us,
For You have also done all our works in us.

- Isaiah 26:12

"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
—Matthew 11:27-28

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship.
—Romans 12:1

Matthew 25:40
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me
