Not doing enough to land Ridley wouldn’t look so bad if either of these kids pan out (coupled with Maye panning out). It wouldn’t suck as bad if we land Aiyuk as well. But the tackle position on this team, at least right now, is still a tough pill to swallow.
Gotta think we move 1 or 2 WR if we bring in Aiyuk. Even our bubble guys should fetch a late rounder. Maybe you throw one of them in on the deal. Pop would have value though I wouldn't want to move him.

I don't see any of those bottom 4 bringing back anything, though one of them might be kept for STs, and I could definitely seen an attempt to get 1-2 of them on the PS. But, it's the NFL, and crazier things have happened.
Reagor would have the inside track as a proven kick returner. I think Juju is gone, cut... I just saw Thornton is hurt again, he gone. Boutte might have a shot in that bottom group, he's having a good camp.

Glad that's over, other than the incredible embarrassment of the Patriots now having completely whiffed on both attempts to pull in a top(ish?) level WR. Now, let's suck for Luck (a/k/a the best LT or WR in the upcoming draft)!
Unfortunately, I don’t think that FAs are going to want to come here until they see a reason to. BB and Brady are gone, and the organization has the reputation for being stingy (even though this clearly wasn’t the primary consideration for Aiyuk). Maye and Mayo (henceforth known as M&M) need to show them something before they come.
Of course, we could always draft better so we don’t have to rely on expensive veterans in a league with a hard cap.

Yeah the time to make a big move at WR was before they spend two more draft pics at the position. As you and others have pointed out with Ridley, or Aiyuk/Higgins back before the draft.
At worst, we should have a top 10 pick again. At best, the kids both pan out. The latter being the exception to the rule. Either way, I’m not sure if I want Maye out there running for his life being that OL with so much unknown re: the WRs.
