Eagles won because Lamb greased his hands before game, and then went out and dropped about 5 passes. But they're not beating good passing teams with CB play like that.

I'm being dismissive of the win in part because a fair amount of what we saw Dallas being able to do is because of things that are questionable in Philly this year (i.e. DL depth, CB play after offseason losses). But it is just week one, and Carter did mess things up by getting tossed so early, so let me note that here. And, also, let me again note that the weather break seemed to throw things out of kilter.
It's week one, and I'm not trying to dismiss the Eagles overall (They start out the season as my current projected NFC champion). I just think they've got some real questions to be answered.
I just hate how they pimp every quarterback that is on a Super Bowl winning team as some great quarterback. Jaylen hurts is a solid and efficient quarterback at times when he is part of a certain method of playing. that is all. Is he one of the worst quarterbacks in the league? absolutely not. is he gonna put a team on his back when things are sucking? absolutely not. does philly's success with him this prove that you can win consistently with that type of quarterback?absolutely.
