If you think about it, this Chiefs team is really quite similar to Olajuwon's Rockets. They're led by an all-time great who's simply not quite as good as the true "best ever" players at his position, and they win when the best players elsewhere have retired and/or aged out. And that doesn't make them bad, but rational people should be able to see what it means to their place in league history.

Maybe this is the loss that lets the media figure that out.

Four years ago, Tampa Bay’s defensive line was supposedly a historical outlier machine going against a historical outlier weak offensive line.

Another situation like that today..narrative already building.

But: all 9 of the players in question are different.

The quarterback is the same.
