Rodger’s (also overrated)
Brees (also overrated)
Eli (gets in on giving Brady his two biggest legacy battle scars)
I put Russel Wilson in before Phillip Rivers.
Yep, besides Eli I agree. Well, I agree with you that he will get in but he shouldn’t.
(Very obvious)
Brady
Manning
(Obvious)
Rodgers
(Fairly obvious)
Brees
After that, I’d take Roethlisberger over the likes of Eli, Rivers, Ryan, and Wilson. After Brady and Manning, Roethlisberger was the best clutch QB and didn’t crap his pants.
Here’s how I rank the non-HoF group:
1. Ryan. Good quarterback, sometimes great. Didn’t really carry teams but was a very capable QB. Hall of Very Good at the least.
2. Eli. Has the big highlight moments and a long career. NY is a tough place to play with the media pressure. He did get rid of the ball quickly so his advanced stats are better than his box score stats.
3. Rivers. One of the most frustrating QBs ever. High skill level, perennial loser. Made so many mistakes with game on line. Kind of reminds me of Marino with like 60% of the talent.
4. Wilson. Hot take: Seahawks would have been a dynasty with better QB play. Wilson is one of those guys who score 30 TDs on the season but the team scored 31 and was below average in scoring. Tons of negative plays and sacks. Below average in advanced stats despite often having strong running game. Very reliant on broken plays and deep bombs but sucked at engineering drives. The Seahawks players all understood there was way more sizzle than steak.
