Some stuff just doesn't catch on and build viewership.. despite being well reviewed, acted and written. Meanwhile garbage like "Marshals" gets huge record-setting numbers while being the opposite.

Without having seen the shows you're talking about, I get your point. But I was being more literal. The British have shorter seasons, and they often only run shows for a few years even when fairly successful. Our streaming services have taken to basically copying that, and our network TV is getting closer and closer to that model, as well.
