GameDay Discussion
Nah, unless you're cutting Hollins. I think the decision came down to KW or Bourne, gotta get the rookie some reps this season.

???

Bourne would be no worse than the team's 4th best WR, and would possibly be as high as the second best, now that he's a year off of his ACL injury.. And, even if you have him ranked as low as #5 to start the season, he's still a veteran who knows the system and had an excellent season in it when he was healthy.

They should have found the room.

I don't disagree so much as I think they valued the size and blocking of Hollins, skill of Diggs, and youth of the rest of the group. And again if you keep/play him you are taking snaps away from the younger guys most likely.. and stunting their development.

Hollins should be an H-Back. This season’s Hernandez.

If it clicks for Williams at some point this year, we won’t feel that loss as much. But that needs to happen.

They gambled on Douglas and Willaims, and neither one has showed up. Hollins is a completely different player, so I don't really throw him in the mix.

But, once they decided to bring him into camp, there was no reason not to keep Bourne.

This is the answer, he needs to get SOME playing time. We play a lot of 2TE sets, and some 2RB sets so the WR snaps are going to be limited a bit.

Williams is their only deep speed. So if he was showing out in camp, he'd be getting more snaps.

Williams hasn't been given a real opportunity yet, very limited snaps and fewer looks. Pop though I think is more of a gadget/speed player and he's shown so far he is not a McD slot player. I like his speed but his inconsistent hands and inability to find spots in zone has been glaring. They haven't figured out how to use him yet in this offense.

Douglas is a problem player in terms of placement. He's got enough talent that you don't want to move on from him. But he has no awareness in zone, and that means he doesn't work as a middle of the field slot WR, but he's also not big enough to just muscle it up on the sidelines.
