Tom Brady & Patriots Dynasty Divinity Thread

Just imagine how good Tom is gonna’ be next year at commentary.

Good ole’ Tom.

What a guy.

So many things Maye could learn from just that group of games. Brady is so different in his approach, yet was able to command the entire field, help his OL with adjustments and pocket work, and force the defense to react to him. His understanding of when to use touch and when to just fire the football was top notch. And the way he was able to work the short-to-middle inside the hash marks set him apart from pretty much everyone the game's ever seen play the position.

But, if Maye could just learn to do some of that, he'd be able to take a huge step forward, and really jump to the top of the league's QBs.

I think he is learning. We saw that this year with the season he put together. He will continue to learn more. I think Josh and him will work a lot this off-season to bring his game to another level.

I'm with you on this. I think we saw improvement even during the season, until the reality of cold/bad weather and tougher defenses rattled him and set him back into bad habits mode. He'll get better at reading defenses with coaching, repetitions and experience. He'll get better command at the line in that same way. He'll smarten up with his running as he ages and take more needless hits (or else he'll be out of the league in a hurry).

But a big part of his learning has got to be getting rid of his "I don't cant to be a check down Charlie" mentality. He's got to learn to love the 5 yard check down if he's ever going to be able to dominate low, especially inside the hashmarks. And that's the area of his development that concerns me the most. I don't know percentages, but I do know that a lot of the gunslingers (Favre, Winston, etc...) never outgrow that lust for hero ball.

He needs to sleep with headphones, and TB repeating "My favorite receiver? The open one."

One of the good things i've seen with maye is that he doesn't appear to rely too heavily on just one receiver at any point. Most of his games will show very good past distribution between his receivers I would think. What i'm most concerned with is his being able to play effectively in inclement weather. I'm also a little bit concerned about his mental state because just seeing his face during the super bowl and listening to him talk afterwards he seemed broken. That could possibly be due to the effects of the shot or his concerns about it.I don't know. but I was really worried that in most of the pictures I saw from that game his face looked like this.

Yeah. I mean Brady was 1:1 when it came to death by a thousand paper cuts. I would hope Maye can continue to improve and not play hero ball but he is by far the best thrower of the deep throw in the league so that is what makes it difficult. That deep throw for the pick in the Super Bowl when we were driving to make it a one score game was an absolute killer. Just ghastly to watch. It is that type of situational football that I hope Josh can work on him with this offseason.

Seriously though what has he done to his face?It is terrible!43236.jpg
