You really couldn’t have written a better script for Tom Brady to end a Great White Hope type QB figure, with all of Christian America rallying behind him, football fans getting behind him, and a ‘miracle’ win against Big Ben’s Pittsburgh Steelers.

An understated value of Tom Brady was his Orca Affect. People talked shit about the AFC East during the 2010s but a large part of that was how undesirable the Patriots made the Division for skill-position free-agents, namely quarterback.
Peyton Manning isn’t going to come back from neck surgery and sign where he’ll likely have to enter the postseason a Wildcard.
Brees, no shot.
Cousins, for the house.
Best they could attract willing to deal with the Brady Belichick shitstorm twice a year was Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Same went for coaches. Media whores or nobodies would accept the jobs. Absolute waste of time if you had winning aspirations.

i just put the “We’re on to Cincinnati” game on on YouTube. This game is off the fucking chain.
Honestly, I’m glad we have a QB now, but the entire NFL is trash today compared to this. I’m watching this game and Revis just got fucked out of an interception by the refs, Colinsworth is warning the Bengals Wilfork is the wrong guy to pick a fight with, Brady just threw for 50,000 yards, it’s 14-0, and it’s still the first quarter.
This team would hang 50 on any team today, and it was considered a season underdog back then.

I remember that game. Imagine you’re the Browns and you’re about to pull off an upset, the game seems basically over, with the last minute just being a formality. It’s going to be a great win. Prime Brady. Always #1 seed-formidable, albeit overdue for a championship Patriots. Everyone loves to see the Patriots eat shit.

I'm not sure exactly what he thinks makes him a worse dad, but if it's time spent with his kids, it may not be a big deal because my father was not home very much due to his job,b ut every week he would set aside one afternoon for just us where we would go play racquetball or play mini golf or bowling or something.And then we would have dinner just us. My mother was home all the time, but wasn't a great parent for the most part. My dad is the one who I miss. My advice is to talk about it and be about it and your kids will notice. There is a lot of stuff that I think about now that my dad did that I understand why he did, though I did not at the time.And it's not anything I could ever do, but I respect the fact that he did it.
