Tom Brady & Patriots Dynasty Divinity Thread

Yeah, YouTube videos are cool, but have you ever laid in bed at night reading Super Bowl LI gameday threads on rival-team forums?

The beginning of them are always such joyous occasions, celebrating Brady and the Patriots Dynasty’s final, long, long overdue demise.

Right up until 28-3, where they are just about finished building the coffin.

After that it shifts more towards panic, disbelief, anger, awe, and, in many cases, resignation. Meltdowns, freak-outs, nervous breakdowns.

We should put a digital record of that game in space so it’s eternal, able to be found in 50 trillion years.
Can you post some of the links to the threads? Would love to read them.

jamarcus Russell was a generational talent then lol

Pundits have gone so far down the "QBs are runners!" road that they've lost their minds, and Clark is a racist on top of that idiocy. Peyton was, without question, considered a generational talent. Brady wasn't, in part because teams focused on his physical traits instead of his actual ability to play the game.

Being an NFL QB has only one absolute physical requirement, and that is that a QB must have an arm that's both strong and accurate enough to make all the basic required throws (You don't need to be able to throw the ball 80 yards in the air, but you need to be able to throw a long ball, the deep out, the ball that splits two man coverage down the middle, etc...). Every other absolute requirement is mental.

You must have some pocket mobility too I consider that physical

Not really. Even statues can take you to Super Bowls. We have proof of that right here in New England, with Bledsoe. It just requires a better OL (or different coaching/play calling) than might otherwise be needed.

Brady was sooo good in the pocket. One of the best ever. He had a spider sense like no other when it came to feeling pressure and sliding around.

The mental ability and fortitude needed to be a quarterback is one reason why I pay attention to how good of a student they are in school and if they took a big class load and if they graduated because it shows that they can process a lot of
information and still play football at a high level.
