In general? There have been plenty of people who were shitty enough that I shed no moments of sadness, beyond the requirements of my faith, at their passing. I do hold to a "This is not the time or place" philosophy as my guidepost when it comes to that stuff, so I'm not going to use a funeral service to shit on the memory of the deceased. I'll either not attend, or hold my tongue for another time.

In a forum setting? I appreciate the idea of leaving death threads clean because it avoids needless conflict over the deceased when some people may be saddened. I mean, if Biden and Trump both died on the same day, for a wild example, you could see forums destroyed overnight because of people shitting all over the death threads.

And, just to use O.J. for an example, it wouldn't really be a problem with a long-established forum. At some point, someone would have made a thread about the guy, and that could be necro'd, which would allow the people who wanted to shit all over the dead a place to do it without it shitting all over the actual thread. But we don't have that here, because we're a startup, so we don't really have that alternative right now.

I was raised with the understanding that, no matter how much I might have disliked someone, if I raised hell at their funeral or wake, there would be a need for a second funeral, and that one would be mine. That's probably a good part of why I tend to follow the time and place idea when it comes to socializing at conventional functions.

100% agree w/ time and place for actual in person intetactions. i had an uncle who i hated try to start shit at my cousin's wedding and i told him that this is your niece's wedding,not the place for this. come talk to me at another place and time. he never did.

and when my shitty relatives died,i would express sympathy to my cousins etc. it isn't their fault their (fill in the blank)was a p.o.s.
they cared for the person and are mourning them. the sympathy isn't for the p.o.s,it's for them for losing a loved one.

Well this forum was Created because a certain someone lost all privileges on all the other forums on the whole internet

We overtook the last one I got banned from in less than a week when it comes to daily activity. UT59 needs a brain transplant. All of us coming over there gave that board a boost that it hadn’t seen in a while. He didn’t even have the balls to outright ban me. Just throttled me down. I guess it’s called “miserable member” or something per @Fpcolt. I’m glad he did it, though. Only this place and the PornHub comment section seem to be able to tolerate my outstanding wit.
