NFL HALL OF Fame wide receiver Randy Moss announced that he has been battling a cancer found outside of his bile duct between his pancreas and liver on Instagram live on Friday.
Moss, aided by a cane, introduced himself as a cancer survivor and thanked his "prayer warriors" for their support. He had a Whipple procedure to put a stent on his liver on Thanksgiving after experiencing urine discoloration.
Moss spent the last six days in the hospital before getting out on Friday and said he's nursing himself back to full health with chemotherapy and radiation.
I'm glad he seems like he's gonna be okay but it's weird that his son denied that this was true. I wonder if this cancer is more common in men because I think Randy had said at the time that this was something men needed to pay attention to especially. The fact he was wearing dark glasses made me think it was possibly something where his eyes were yellow and that's probably what it was .I wish him all the best and I hope they caught it in time.
Moss was one of my favorite players of the 90's and WR's of all time. I remember the lead up to the draft and whether Dallas was going to select him. They didn't, which was a massive mistake. Moss took the NFL by storm which we haven't seen a WR make the impact he has since.
It was like Christmas day when the Pats made the trade for Moss. It was unfortunate the way it turned out as he would've won multiple Super Bowls had he been with the Pats when he was younger.
It really sucks seeing people battling this terrible disease.
