I don't think patswin actually cares that much but he has to go by what the owner of the board has as standards. The owner doesn't even want to have a political forum and probably would view stuff like that as a reason to close it down. I personally don't think that that comment warranted the thread being closed either. Pats win is going to open the thread again after he looks through the posts.
The board is the way it is because people such as yourself demand it as such and UT has decided that pandering rather than standing up on principle is the move.

I messaged him about it and I did add a screenshot with the name. They did open up that thread again. In the message, I told him I didn't think his comment deserved the thread closure but I also didn't want to screw up the thread again by saying it there once it was opened. I really don't think he'll come over here though. I don't agree with almost anything he says politically but I know he's a good dude.

I think he is a true believer in left-wing causes.
he's been a minority over there and he's arguing against 90% of the people. I also can't recall him complaining about anything said to him. he dishes and can take it. It didn't used to be as unbalanced there, but a lot of the left/democrats left a while ago.
