They'd still be in the Super Bowl. The Bills have won double digit games in each of the past 6 seasons, 11 or more in each of the past 5 seasons, and have won 13 or more in three of the last 6 seasons. And, according to you, their playoff competition is weaker than it would be in the NFC.

So the notion that, as of now, they shouldn't be viewed as Super Bowl contenders is contrary to reason.

It’s not moving a goal post. I said they’re not legit contenders, then said “even if they upset their way” all the way to the Super Bowl, but that’s what any team that isn’t a true top contender would have to do— upset their way there.

If Maye plays big with a killer instinct in big moments, Patriots could take the division. I just think they need to over-achieve, not shock the world. I’m not sold on Buffalo at all. Don’t think they’re real Super Bowl contenders, and the Dolphins and Jets are trash. Dolphins trending towards complete collapse and rebuild, Jets just awful.

I mean, we might just suck but Buffalo hangs banners about winning banners then doesn’t win the banners. I just don’t see it getting better for them this year.

Putting the Patriots aside, Bills will never sniff the Super Bowl with their current squad. The Pats had this issue for 10 years (and they made two Super Bowls) because there was a weakness on their roster that continually got exposed in big games. The Bills don't have a passing attack that will scare teams come January and their defense is really bad. The terrible Bills roster goes unnoticed because the league is that bad and Josh Allen has been carrying them. They are a worse version of the post 2014 Packers who also kept running into teams exposing their bad roster.

He also did his best to fuck things up when he played. I was never a fan of his and thought he was over drafted. He was terrible in space, constantly spinning around and chasing guys downfield despite have Wilfork as his NT and very slow at reacting to plays.

Yet another reason why Bill should've drafted OT Ryan Clady.

Clady was the obvious choice who was heavily mocked to NE. Matt Light is a fan favorite, but he was awful against the elite rushers. After what happened pissing away the perfect season, you'd think that would've been the top priority. LB had certainly been a need for years BB ignored (Beason should've been the pick over the Stomper), but Kaczur and Light was very mediocre.

Vrabel sees what Wolf didn't see last year. Dugger replacing McCourty/Philips at deep S exposed him badly. Then they transition tagged him where anyone could sign him without giving up compensation - nobody did. That should've been the Pats sign to remove the tag and let him walk. Nope, they double down and give him more per year than the tag.

I read something from John Beason a while back where he said bill did work him out and he deliberately tanked his workout because he didn't want to play for him. I forget who the other guy was who was working out with him but i think tbe pats drafyed him.

Very interesting stuff and I'm not surprised. This is why we hear stories of teams passing on players. Players could be sabotaging their meetings with certain teams.
