NFL Players arrest thread

The fallout from the recent lawsuit filed against Shannon Sharpe has been incredibly damaging, and it appears that pressure is mounting on the former NFL star now that he’s been accused of rape.

Sharpe, who is facing a $50 million claim and whose legal team has admitted that he offered at least $10 million to keep a former lover from taking her grievances to court, has stepped away from ESPN amid the controversy.

He took to social media on Thursday to reveal that he’s temporarily leaving ESPN, at least until the NFL preseason, and will battle it out in court with his accuser.

Unfortunately, his announcement will not be the last thing to stem from this before the end of the day, as Front Office Sports is reporting that Sharpe was accused of choking a female production assistant while he was at FS1.

“Before Sharpe’s time at ESPN, when he was the co-host of FS1’s Undisputed, he was accused of choking a female production assistant in the workplace, two sources with knowledge of the incident tell Front Office Sports,” the publication reported on Thursday afternoon.

According to one of the sources, Sharpe and FOX avoided a lawsuit by paying several hundred thousand dollars.

A representative for Sharpe told FOS that the choking referenced by their sources never happened. However, there was a playful interaction that apparently escalated, and FOX chose to deal with the matter in-house.

The publication was advised to seek a statement from FOX. At the time of writing, the network had not responded.

“There was no incident of choking involving Shannon on the FS1 set. On one occasion, he and a few colleagues were involved in some light physical interaction in a playful context. Fox Sports later chose to resolve the matter privately.”

Meanwhile, it has also come to light that Sharpe was sued by a former partner in 2023 for an alleged sexual assault that took place several years ago.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer remains adamant that he has done nothing wrong.

A young woman who says she was raped and threatened by retired NFL player Shannon Sharpe during a “rocky consensual relationship” filed a civil lawsuit against him, seeking $50 million in damages.

Her evidence against him must be really good since she initially turned down a $10 million settlement.

The lawsuit accuses Sharpe of using physical force on her and inflicting emotional distress.

The lawsuit also “lays out a pattern of intimidation, manipulation, and abuse, including allegations that Sharpe repeatedly threatened to choke and slap Jane Doe.”

Along the way, her attorney, Tony Buzbee, has released messages and audio that paint Shannon Sharpe in a terrible light.

Things can get even worse as they also reportedly have a sex tape.

The accuser previously claimed Sharpe insisted on recording some of the sexual encounters, sometimes without her consent or knowledge, and even shared the videos with his “friends and associates.”

Now, that might come back to bite him.

Tony Buzbee told TMZ Sports that they have footage of the two engaging in sex, but they have no plans right now to put the footage out to the media.

He called it “key evidence” in their case against the former NFL star.

“The only reason you know about the existence of a video recording is that Mr. Sharpe specifically referenced it in his bulls*** statement,” Buzbee said. “The contents of the video was shared during the mediation process with Sharpe’s attorneys. Again, Sharpe and his team disclosed that, not us. Sharpe himself was offered on more than one occasion to view it himself. He declined. We’ve never made any claims or threats about it and won’t do so.”

“And no,” he added, “we won’t be ‘releasing’ the video as it is key evidence in the case and will be treated as such.”

Shannon Sharpe first made reference to the video earlier this month when he stated it’s “a 30-second clip of a sex tape that tries to make me look guilty and play into every stereotype you could possibly imagine.”

Shannon Sharpe Won’t Be Back On ESPN For Months

Shannon Sharpe, a Superbowl champion and host of a popular podcast, has been accused of sexual assault in a Nevada lawsuit.

The accuser, who was 19 at the time she met Mr Sharpe in 2023, says in a legal filing that the pair had a nearly two-year relationship, during which time Mr Sharpe was “aggressive” and allegedly raped her.

Sharpe has denied the allegations and said he is the target of a “shakedown.”

In the meantime, he has taken a leave of absence from ESPN and stated he would be back before the NFL preseason.

Antonio Brown is trending again following what has been an overly active and bizarre period on social media.

The former NFL wide receiver recently went viral after claiming that ex-Steelers teammate Ben Roethlisberger’s sister performed a sexual act on him during the Pro Bowl 14 years ago. And, having previously apologized to another former teammate, Tom Brady, he has accused the erstwhile quarterback of holding him back once he found out he was sleeping with his wife.

AB, whose CTESPN brand has proclaimed a “generational run,” is on a bit of a Kanye West-style trajectory at the moment, given his recent social media activity. But that’s hardly the only thing keeping him relevant right now.

A bunch of curious text messages from a woman accusing the former All-Pro of sex trafficking have surfaced online this Thursday, with the female claiming that Brown flew her and her friend to Dubai and made promises of shopping money and rent payments, but instead left them stranded.

The woman said they were left with “no room and no clothes and no money,” suggesting he left her with nowhere to stay.

She’s levied a strong allegation, having claimed that she and her friend were “sex trafficked.”

“He better get me my flight home before i go online talking about sex trafficked me and my friend to Dubai and left us there,”
she wrote.

In true Antonio Brown fashion, AB tweeted out the screenshot himself, adding a GIF of cartoon character Beavis from the show ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ kicking a speaker.

It does appear that he is not taking the accusation very seriously, but we imagine many people will be keeping an eye on this.

Shannon Sharpe’s accuser, Gabriella Zuniga, has announced that there’s a sex tape up for grabs that we imagine plenty of people would like to see.

Zuniga is embroiled in a legal matter with the former NFL tight end, having accused him of multiple rapes. Sharpe, who perhaps ill-advisedly revealed there was footage of them having intercourse during his staunch denial of the allegations, urged his accuser and her lawyer to release the full 10-minute version of the tape, and not just the 30 seconds that make him look bad.

The lawyer in question, Toy Buzbee, has indicated that the tape will remain private until the time comes to use it in their case. However, Gabriella is offering footage to her OnlyFans followers, promising to send it to people who tip her at least $2,000.

“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!! over the next 2 weeks whoever spends over $2,000 is going to get EXCLUSIVE access to my first TAPE!!! YUP, i’m only sending it to those that spend/tip over $2,000!! i’m so excited to do this for you guys…and nervous too hehe,” she wrote.

It’s unclear whether the tape she’s referring to features Shannon Sharpe or someone else. But, given the circumstances, it would likely be the former, as footage showing anyone else would not be a great look for her.

Sharpe has also admitted that he does not have the clip and would share it himself if he had it. But he’s being made to wait on it like everyone else.

Of course, it’s likely to be available for $2,000, a fraction of the $50 million he’s being sued for. It might prove a worthy investment.

That's one shady money grab....

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been hit with a $1 million lawsuit amid what has been a rocky start to his NFL career.

Rice, a Super Bowl winner with the Chiefs in 2024, is now the subject of a third lawsuit over the car crash he is accused of causing in Dallas, Texas, last year.

He is accused of “outrageous conduct” in the new lawsuit, which stems from his involvement in a six-vehicle crash, and is alleged to have driven his Lamborghini Urus at 119mph before the collision.

The Chiefs star is facing eight criminal charges, which include aggravated assault, and has now been sued three times.

Kayla Quinn, the complainant in the third lawsuit, claims she suffered physical, mental, and emotional trauma as a result of the accident. Quinn was taking her son home from the Dallas Zoo when the crash occurred.

According to the Daily Mail, she is seeking between $250,000 and $1 million, having filed a suit against Rice and former SMU football player Theodore Knox, who is believed to have been racing the NFL wideout in a Corvette.

The suit claims that both men had consumed alcohol before the crash and then fled the scene thereafter, ignoring the pleas for assistance while victims tried to get out of their vehicles.

“Defendants and their passengers exited their exotic “supercars,” gathered their belongings and briskly walked past their victims up an exit ramp and left the scene of the collision,” it reads.
Two other victims, namely Edvard Petrovsky and Irina Gromova, have sued Rachee Rice and Theodore Knox for $10 million.

NFL long snapper Jake McQuaide was kicked out of a Catholic church in Ohio over the weekend, with police escorting him out after a tense exchange.

The 14-year veteran is a free agent after spending the 2024 NFL season with the Miami Dolphins and was among parishioners looking for answers following allegations of a priest viewing pornography on a church computer.

According to WCPO, Todd Zureick, a member of Our Lady of the Visitation in Green Township, said he saw photos from a laptop containing “thumbnails to pornography sites and links to multiple virtual reality role-playing sites involving pornography, sexual assault, group sex, rape, and occult themes.”

Zureick filed a complaint with the archdiocese earlier this year, and his claims were being addressed on Saturday, with Jason Williams, the archdiocese of Cincinnati Chancellor, reading a letter from Archbishop Robert Casey claiming Martin Bachman, the priest in question, did nothing wrong.

“These have been investigated, and no wrongdoing — either criminally or ecclesiastically — has been substantiated … consequently, like gossip, the spreading of rumors is sinful, and we should all work to overcome this tendency of our fallen human nature,” the letter read.

Jake McQuaide Wanted A Straight Answer

Jake McQuaide, a two-time NFL Pro Bowler, demanded answers after the letter was read.

“Please take a second. We want to put these rumors to rest. Can you answer this for me … fact or fiction?” he asked.

Someone at the altar tried to tell him it was the wrong time for such questioning, to which he replied, “I’m sorry, sir, this is the time and the place. I will stand up. … Did the priest use our parish computer to look at pornography? … true or false. … I am not trespassing.

“You can look at pornography at your house, but you cannot do it here,”
he added.

Greenship Town police then escorted him out.

Captain Mitch Hill later said that McQuiade was not detained nor charged with a crime.

Meanwhile, archbishop Casey said Bachman plans to take a break in July, but it has nothing to do with the allegations.
