Unfortunately, yes. The league in general is not what it once was. Those Chiefs teams post Hill would've been struggling to make the playoffs had they time traveled into the 2000's. And if they were lucky, they'd just get eliminated by the Pats, Colts, Steelers, Raiders, Titans, Ravens.

The current NFL is the most bizarre era I've ever seen. The Chiefs were dismantling their team leaving themselves vulnerable, yet other teams did the same. That's like if the Colts got rid of Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne when the Pats got rid of Branch and Givens. The only team that has improved this offseason in the AFC are the Pats. Teams closer to Chiefs have done absolutely nothing. With that said, I think this is the Ravens last chance getting into the Super Bowl before Henry falls off a cliff.

The Eagles had no business losing to the Chiefs the first time. Chiefs had what was coming in the 2nd meeting.

But the Chiefs have been getting worse and worse, and were only saved last year by the things we've talked about (Blatantly biased officiating, missed kicks at the buzzer, etc...). But AFC teams are getting better, and this is the year where the AFCW becomes a legitimate problem for the Chiefs, in terms of getting that bye.

On paper, this is weakest 49ers team to date under the Shanahan era. Williams and McCaffery can fall off a cliff at any moment. Aiyuk won't be back until at least the 2nd half of the season at the earliest. OL is still weak.

Bosa continues to lose his entourage along the DL putting more pressure on him. Greenlaw was a big loss at LB.

They NFL is so bad, they still have a chance. But I wouldn't count on it given how many games they choked last season. Shanahan threw the defense under the bus, but Shanahan and Purdy gets a lot of that blame.

Also, the Chargers are going to be a power team, which should take its toll on the Chiefs' defense and the Chiefs' offensive line. And the Broncos defense should be top notch this year.

And the 3 games that mattered against those two teams were won by 7,2, and 2 (the 2nd Broncos game was meaningless, so the Broncos winning it doesn't get factored in here).
