At my church, the elders have to be above a certain age because it signifies wisdom gained in the book. There are other requirements as well, but I couldn’t be an elder for at least another 30+ years even if I started today. You’d be the age of our lead pastors.
The entire series for 2025 (Stand Firm and Act Like a Man) has been nothing short of excellent. I’d go through all of them if you’re burning time at work and need something to listen to. Joby is excellent but so is Carter. The rest of them just aren’t as funny as Joby. I’ll PM their YouTube page. They also do a podcast that I listen to at the gym every Wednesday to supplement that week’s sermon.
