You all know the 10 Commandments. Read on, please.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall make no idols.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. You shall not covet.

The 10 commandments are certainly a good standard to follow in life. I've broken most of them, but I'm a decent person. So I must be ok. You haven't killed, so you are a good person, right? No. We are all sinners.

In the eyes of God? If you have ever stolen, you are a thief. If you have ever lied, you are a liar. If you have ever even thought of another woman sexually, you are an adulterer. And on and on. You are NOT good. Join the club.

Here are two truths we would be wise to know in our hearts:

"...the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23

Your sins condemn you. And there is only One escape from eternal condemnation.

"...whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13

if you are ever concerned about your eternity...if you are concerned about what happens to you if you die today, please talk to me. Do not decline the gift of God, the most precious gift ever offered.

@everyone I am talking to you. If you want to talk salvation, Jesus, eternity, I am always willing to talk.

Judging by how hard he’s been going after me lately, I think I’m doing something right, and am pretty confident I’ll end up in Paradise if I died today. I’m relatively sure most of us are 0-10. Even if we don’t commit murder, we cheer for it based on the people getting killed. Even if we don’t cheat, we covet with our eyes.

Sorry. It's true.

There is always a chance at redemption and forgiveness

but do you ever think God looks at some of us when we get up there, shakes his head and says "I'm disgusted by you niggas" like @Lord Guts ????

There is always a chance at redemption..... Until there isn't. We don't know when our end date is.

No interpretation. Simple looking at the very clear words. The Hebrew is even more clear than the English.

I didn't want the important point to get lost in the debates about what words matter and what don't...

We are all sinners and need Jesus to wash away our sins.

"...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus,
whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith,
to demonstrate His righteousness..."

So I ask again. Do you know what happens one second after you die? Seek Jesus.

"Forgive me Father for I have sinned"

Not to the Catholic phonebooth father, but the only Father.
