It was the right move. And, unless someone else gets fired, he should be the #1 target of every team that has a HC opening, unless that team is planning to build 100% around a young QB.

I'd rather have Stefanski.

I'd rather have Stefanski.

Stefanski hasn't won shit without his dominant QB/WR combo, has only made the playoffs twice in 7 years and he's 24-27 in his last 3 seasons, with no playoff appearances.

Harbaugh's made the playoffs in 12 of 18 seasons, including 6 of 7 before this year. He's actually won a Super Bowl. He's 33-18 in his last 3 seasons, with 2 playoff appearances and 1 conference final appearance. And he's had success with QBs as varied as Flacco and Jackson.

Stefanski's the sucker's play, which is why the Bengals kept him.

Dumb decision. While I hate his whining, Harbaugh is a pretty good coach. The ratbirds were not losing because of him, but in spite of him and a coaching change does not make them better.

The defensive injuries early in the year killed them, they couldn't stop anyone. Then by the time they get healthy and start playing good, Lamar gets hurt again. Of course Lamar isn't good enough to win the SB, but he's at least pretty good when healthy, which is rare. If I'm the Cardinals I'd write him a blank check and let him pick his QB. That franchise needs some stability.

? are you thinking of zac taylor?

He won’t go to the Jets.

I’d have to ask AI for a concrete stat but I feel like every time a long tenured, fairly-successful HC gets let go, they always take their next job in the other Conference.

Giants hire is my bet, but NFC for sure.

Yeah... I'm busy taking down the Christmas stuff, dealing with a freezer issue, moving cars all about as part of a garage tidying, taking calls, heading out for errands/jobs, and about 3 other things, so I've apparently been a bit too distracted to worry about where posts are going and who they were about.

I'll do better.

Stefanski hasn't done shit when it comes to developing QBs, and that ought to cover it.

No worries.I wasn't trying to pick on you.I just was genuinely not certain where you were going with that.

As he should be, he's a damn good coach who ran his course with Baltimore. Sometimes these guys just need a change of scenery.

Looking at the options..
Browns - Lol
Cards - Need a QB, but have a pretty good roster, they got very injured down the stretch
Tits - Could be a good job, they need some offensive talent though
Raiders - No QB, roster needs work, but they have #1 pick
Falcons - Pretty good roster, two meh QB's but you get them coached up and you win the division, which is shitty
Giants - They have the QB, high profile job, good (injured) talent, need a Oline.

My gut says it's Falcons or Giants. I'm rooting for the Cards just because I want them to be good and finally have a decent coach.

I think he stays away from the raiders due to the circus having both harbaughs in division would be. Might want to join his brother in punking mahomes twice a year though ...

The tea leaves say Lamar Jackson and Harbaugh couldn’t co-exist, given all the chatter. I’ve always disliked Harbaugh but also have always respected him as a coach. Always has a good gameplan and a roster that seems to be in lock step.

My day started with my dogs barking me awake at about 5:30 am to go outside, setting me up to step in the cat shit that one of them had dragged out of the litter box, and left on the dark floor in the unlit area right near the door. It's been mostly downhill from there.
