Give ALL Glory to God

I had the privilege to preach around this verse and the theme of giving glory to God in our lives. It is imperative according to Scriptures.

Psalm 115:1

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,
But to your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.

It's all well and good to know to give glory to God. But HOW do we glorify Him? When sharing the Word, it is not wise to give an opinion. Stick to the Word of God. Based on the Word, here are 11 ways you can give glory to God each day...according to His Word.

I encourage you to look up each cited verse for your own edification!

We glorify God when we.......


1. Thank God for His blessings (Luke 17:15-16)

2. Do all we do with God in mind (1 Corinthians 10:31)

3. Praise Him (Psalm 50:23, Psalm 86:12)

4. Abide in Jesus/Strive to be like Him (John 15:7-8)

5. Believe and trust Him by faith (Romans 4:19-20)

6. Confess our sins (Joshua 7:19)

7. Accept, forgive, and love other believers (Romans 15:7)

8. Live righteously as an example to others (Matthew 5:16, 1 Peter 2:12)

9. Recognize God's greatness in worship (Psalm 29:2, 1 Corinthians 16:29)

10. Acknowledge God the Creator (Romans 11:36, Revelation 4:11)

11. Share the Gospel (Philippians 2:11, Acts 4:33)


Check the list after a week and see how many ways you glorified God! But don't pat yourself on the back. No matter how often you gave glory to God, He deserves more.
