Watching The Vikings version of the game was pretty cool because in the 3rd Quarter they had Kevin O'connell miked up and they were talking to him while he was coaching the game it was pretty cool the way he was able to do all those things at once though he wasn't calling the offensive plays in this one. He actually had one of his defensive coaches call plays in the first preseason game and another 1 of them calling plays in this game rather than having Flores call them.
Adding to the wife/meatloaf theme that
@Kontradiction mentioned about vrabel, I thought that was typical vrabel to already leave the field before they even decided if that play was a touchdown or not at the end of the game.
I did like that vrabel left most of his starters in because they looked like such garbage on the first drive.
One thing I took away from the game was it was nice not to see a bunch of shitty penalties like we watched all last year. Romo's done nothing to lose the kicking job and special teams for the most part looks pretty good other than their allowing that 1 long return. i also wish they would have tackled the Vikings in bounds more on that last drive and made them burn that time out. when the announcers were talking to o'connell in the 3rd Quarter they were surprised that he decided to take the penalty instead of using a time out for that delay of game. he said "we might need it late in the game". I thought that was interesting that it came to fruition later.
