With the weather now changing, I've started making chicken soup to have handy, either just as something for the hungry or to have if someone starts getting cold symptoms. Anyone else doing this yet?

No, but I should. It's easy enough to make a pot of stock. Just freeze it and you've got a versatile base.

I wonder if you could put cheese inside of there too.
I was thinking a full-on breakfast version. Larger cast iron skillet ... in the well onions, peppers, bacon (cooked), diced tomato. Then cheddar on top at the end under the broiler. Probably sauté the onions and peppers first.
