The Chicago Bears let Ben Johnson know exactly how much they value him, having decided to hire the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator as their next head coach.
Johnson was one of the more sought-after coaching candidates this year and, to the absolute delight of everyone associated with the Bears, has chosen to accept their offer.
The team knew they had to offer him a better salary than the other franchises vying for his services. And, per reports, they’ve handed him a sum that will see him make more money than the best free agent signing of 2024, Saquon Barkley.
