Trade deadline coming up

Absolutely, were we in the Jets position.

There are 4 positions that are the highest value:

QB
LT
CB
Pass rusher

In the absence of an overriding non-game issue, trading any of them (we're talking about the best of them, still in prime years) for two picks (that would then basically have to be used to try to replace that player) is retarded.

…the Jets are 1-7 and may have the first overall pick. They need to rebuild the entire team. Taking the picks was the right move. It’s not like they’re going to reel off 10 straight.

I guess not. Thought vastly overachieving compared to public expectations would be worth at least some sort of move.

Gardner is only 25 years old, and he just signed an extension this past summer which would have kept him as a Jet through 2030.

Try again.

I am not surprised there were no moves.

That's really your response?

The CB1 was literally set to be there for his prime seasons, which means that he'd be there through a rebuild if the Jets were a real team instead of a near-constant train wreck, and you're argument is "So what?"?

Ok, I'm done with this.

Yeah… so what? They’re 1-7. They have two more first round picks today and one less CB. They should be tanking and selling off all assets.

Agreed an over paid CB does nothing for them over the next 2-3 years

Does Sauce help Danny Dimes not turn the ball over 6 times in a game? They WAAAY overpaid.
Indy would be such a great matchup for us. We go on the road and easily shut down JT and put the game in Jones's hands, while on the other side, Drake Maye shreds them mercilessly.
