Big ESPN news


Much as I despise a workplace riding herd over stuff you post on your personal account on your personal time this is quite common with workplaces and one reason why I stopped using Facebook when I started working for a place that said they monitor your Facebook.
In this case my outrage will depend on if somebody on the democrat side posted something pro democrat and was not scolded. that would be utter bullshit.
 
Like Pardon the Interruption, Around the Horn was a cool show. But I haven't watched either in over 15 years.
 
Chris Berman will remain at ESPN through his 50th anniversary with the company, including a role in the network's Super Bowl coverage in 2027, the network announced Monday.

Berman signed an extension that will carry him through 2029, when he would be the first ESPN employee to hit the 50-year mark. Berman joined ESPN less than a month after its September 1979 launch.

ESPN will cover the Super Bowl on Feb. 14, 2027, from Los Angeles. Berman, as part of his new deal, will contribute to the coverage. It will be his 45th Super Bowl in various roles for the network; he hosted three pregame shows for ABC in 2000, 2003 and 2006...

According to Outkick, it's non-renewal time at ESPN:



For five years, ESPN anchor Stan Verrett has been predicting OutKick’s demise. He repeatedly claimed on social media that we would be out of business "soon." He once predicted that 2022 would most likely be our final year on the Internet

In January, during a late Saturday night in which he sent over 13 posts about me, he claimed OutKick had fired me. According to sources, OutKick has not fired me.

Verrett deleted that tweet after we asked ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro for comment.
In the meantime, ESPN is saying goodbye to Stan Verrett. Sources tell OutKick that ESPN informed Verrett that it would not renew his contract, despite his offer to stay at a lower salary.

Front Office Sports first reported that ESPN didn’t plan to keep Verrett on Thursday...
