Belichick agrees to become Head Coach of UNC

Bill Belichick & UNC Fuel SEC Realignment Rumors Further With Major Scheduling Shake Up
The North Carolina Tar Heels, under new head coach Bill Belichick, have stirred SEC realignment rumors with a significant overhaul of their 2026 non-conference schedule, per FBSchedules. Swapping two home games for road matchups against UConn in East Hartford and a neutral-site clash with TCU in Dublin, Ireland, UNC is embracing a tougher path, signaling confidence in Belichick’s leadership. This move aligns with speculation of a potential SEC move, fueled by a reported “handshake agreement,” according to insider Scott Hamilton on The Paul Finebaum Show. The SEC’s lucrative $55 million TV deals and UNC’s $50 million investment in Belichick suggest a strategic push to elevate the program’s football profile, despite a modest ACC history. However, ESPN’s David Hale warns that UNC’s administration favors the Big Ten’s academic alignment over the SEC’s football intensity, citing fears of being outmatched. With exit fees dropping to $75 million by 2030, UNC’s bold scheduling may preview a seismic conference shift. #BillBelichick #MajorScheduling #footballprofile #conferenceshift

Anybody getting pissy about bill saying this can get absolutely fucking bent after the way the krafts went after him with that stupid documentary when he tried to keep it classy during/ right after he left.

the Kraft's definitely punched below the belt releasing that hit piece on him

certainly not going to be happy go lucky interactions between them anymore

without Belichick, you'd have exactly zero super bowls.

without kraft, you'd do just fine. he's not even a top owner or one that is widely respected anymore.

only thing Kraft did to help the team was turn over the reigns to BB and get the fuck out of the way

but i think we would have definitely won a couple SBs without BB.. that argument got a lot more merit when he left to the Tampa Bay Succaneers and won a SB in his first year with Bruce fuckin' Arians

And he started meddling again after Brady left. I think he was the one responsible for the Mac Jones and Drake Maye picks. One of them obviously didn't work out, the other remains to be seen.

Brady was developed by BB. Brady even said so. Perhaps if he got drafted to another team with an offensive minded coach, he could have done well there too. But, as I mentioned numerous times, Brady went to a Bucs team with a good amount of talent and brought a lot of talent with him. It's not like the Bucs were devoid of great players. Godwin and Evans were already 1000+ yard receivers.

-Kept the Pats in New England
-Brought in Parcells. Along with draft picks over those few years, this established the foundation
-BB

Yep. All three things are true - they hit first, he can feel free to hit back, and he deserved to be fired.

I hope Bill keeps sticking it to Kraft and his dipshit son. Well done!
He probably won’t for a while. He’s going to be locked in. I’m interested to see how they do. UNC has been on a recruiting heater (for them anyway) lately.
