I love how cops blindly follow the AI, or the anonymous tip that no one has attempted to verify.
The just get their little wieners stiff at the prospect of using their authority.

So they only knew of an air tag, the make and model, and that's it? Not the why? They couldn't run the temp tags from a distance and gotten the VIN?
Lazy cops with a hardon, all excited to enforce their authority. Just what we need.
Unfortunately, a lot of the problem isn't the police themselves. A lot of the problem is the civilians allowing this behavior via voting for people who approve of such aggressive policing, and the courts for both allowing bad behavior and minimizing citizens' rights.
