All things Belichick

It's a fact, but it doesn't mean anything in and of itself. If bill belichick were a tennis player and tom brady were his doubles partner, it might.
If bill belichick were a tennis player and tom brady were his doubles partner ... Brady would be serving 140 mph aces while Belichick was in the back reading the rulebook.

Of course it's debatable. All one would have to say was "The cheating...".
If anyone's that stupid, I hope they apply the same thing to brady with ballghazi.

How is it stupid?

Roger Clemens is still not in the Baseball HOF, and he was never caught doing anything against the rules. Rodney Harrison's not in the NFL HOF, and at least part of the reason is that he got busted cheating.

I don't follow a single thing about baseball.I hate baseball so I don't know anything about the roger clemens situation whatsoever. therefore, I am not equipped to comment on its similarity to any situation in football.
filming signals from an incorrect location is not giving your team some huge advantage. You're filming something that people used to do by hand and it's still legal to do by hand( if people signals are still visible). you are literally filming things that everybody in the stadium could see if they had binoculars. All it was was a more efficient way to match up signals with game tape. i can pretty much guarantee you that other teams were doing it.Remember herm edwards waved at the camera? Remember, bill cowher said that they used to do it in kansas city? This wasn't some ridiculous crazy scheme. It was a common practice for some teams that a poorly worded memo sought to rule out ( why would there need to be a memo if nobody but the pats were doing it?)and bill pushed the envelope by interpreting the wording literally. That's all.

If you're a purist, and you want to keep people out that have ever used hgh, then peyton manning shouldn't be in the hall of fame either.

I defended BB about this, for years, and I've not changed my position on the matter. But, from the point of view of those who have a problem with it:

He cheated, according to the league. He cheated after he was warned by the league not to do it. Not only that, but he also either cheated a second time or didn't keep a good enough eye on his QB and allowed a second cheating issue to happen under his watch.

Their position is logical and defensible, based upon the rulings from the league.

defensible because the league said so? i guess. i had a teacher who accused me of cheating off of somebody when I was an a student and they were a d student because she saw me looking over at him during a test.I guess technically she was right because she was the teacher and she said so.

I feel the same way about bountygate and also the uneven application of penalties towards people/teams for tampering. This isn't just about the patriots. When an organization shows corruption and/or favoritism in the way they apply their rules then it's hard to trust them.

The Patriots did defy the league by continuing after they were warned not to. They were judged to have broken the rules. So the issue here has nothing to to with the league itself. It has to do with BB's actions, and the consequences of those actions.

Breaking protocol isn’t the same as “cheating.” The same people who said we were breaking the rules painted an imagine for Steeler fans and other retarded malcontents that Brady was getting fed the defensive play-call at the line every play.

Practicing a certain way or for too many hours would be in violation of league rules but if a certain team bought into some Spartan head coaching and did it anyway, it wouldn’t be “cheating.”

They were found guilty of cheating. That's the reality. Arguing against that reality doesn't change that reality.

But I will agree Belichick was retarded for continuing on after being told the league was cracking down on it, prompting ALL THE OTHER TEAMS DOING IT to stop.

And they found Brady guilty of concealing his involvement as the head of a conspiracy to send Casey Affleck from the SNL Dunkin’ Donuts skit into public stadium bathrooms to deflate .6 PSI out of 20 professional footballs every Sunday, because he didn’t hand his personal cell phone over to the NY Sports Media. Crazy.
