Pads Monday, we'll really get to evaluate the lines then. The D line (including OLB's) is going to be nasty, fast and aggressive. They are going to most likely get the better of our OL.No pads or whatever, you love to see that. Maye’s always been accurate on the rollout. He just needs to avoid getting killed this year.
Is it me, or does he look like a 6th grader out there?
I think fans are going to get real irritated with Davis on Sundays. He will see a lot of targets (when he plays). I've never seen a guy get lit up like he does, yet the media has been gas lighting us says he's a "lock down" CB. He was a liability in Tampa Bay. In fact, if it weren't for that horrendous secondary, they repeat. Now the Lions didn't care to re-sign him. I thought Davis was going to get a 1-2 year prove it deal, but we are in an era where anybody gets paid.
Nah.... They've got 3, with Gonzo, Davis and Jones. But, ideally, I'm with you in that having a 5th one would be a great way to injury proof your team.
I started watching one of Bedard's youtube vids on camp day 2 i believe, he started it off saying Spillane is a jag and not a playmaker... I immediately turned it off. Fucking clueless takes from that fat shitbag sometimes. Spillane is a modern, fast, sideline to sideline tackling machine, and a natural leader. That's his job and he's really good at it. I'd put money on him to lead this team in tackles this season.
Spillane is a playmaker and he's absolutely going to lead the team in tackles with ease. However, people are just going to see things differently like Bedard. I usually agree with Bedard, but not here. Spillane has the 9th most Interceptions in the NFL since 2020 - so he makes plays. Other media media guys I watched yesterday (I think it was Kyles) said he was impressed with Spillane. Since many of us have watched football for so long, our expectations may be unrealistic on how the player should be. I really don't like the style of this new NFL, but we can't compare these guys to prior eras. The league looks like they are adopting the 2000's Colts philosophy were we see a lot of light, but fast mediocre LB's.I started watching one of Bedard's youtube vids on camp day 2 i believe, he started it off saying Spillane is a jag and not a playmaker...
