I bet Shanahan and Lynch are on thin ice. They've gotten pretty lucky since 2021 as the rumors where getting loud when they started 2-4. They really had no business getting to the NFCCG that season which gave the HC/GM new life. Then Purdy comes along and has two strong seasons before 2024. I think the seat is heating up again after how many games they collapsed in last season. They are a Williams/McCaffrey injury away from going 6-10 again in 2025.
I don’t think Shanny has the balls required to win the big one, but Lynch has drafted well overall. They’ll be in for a lean year or two, but they’d be dumb to get rid of him.
