2025 Training Camp thread.

On Day 1, Jalen Hurts was sharp, completing 14 of 15 passes, while A.J. Brown (5/6 targets) and Dallas Goedert (5/5) looked strong. Backup QB Tanner McKee threw a touchdown, showing depth. Key battles include Tyler Steen leading at right guard, Kelee Ringo and Adoree’ Jackson competing at corner, and Sydney Brown among those fighting for the open safety spot. Jihaad Campbell was limited due to a shoulder issue, and Nakobe Dean’s on the PUP list rehabbing a knee injury. Today’s practice continues with focus on these competitions and adjusting to new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. The team looks focused good signs to repeat. And I will be even more obnoxious

This is what railing a bone from behind for the last couple of years will do to a nigga. Bro went from aura farming with a black chick to being an emo faggot with Swift. He looks like he voted for Harris.

Used to be you could count on at least NFL & MLB players having a bit of a clue regarding politics... No longer.

Still kinda surprised that Trump was elected, given the over-whelming number of loud-mouthed celebrity socialists there are nowadays.

If you take a trek down to our political board, I’ve been blasting him and the Jews lately. But I digress.

That's a good sign isn't it?
Competition is high

Fuck yeah. I remember having a shit-eating grin in the dentist’s office (I know you’re surprised people from Florida go to the dentist, but put that aside for now) when Gronk and Chung scrapped early on one year. If you’re not fighting with your teammates, you’re doing it wrong.

The Ben Johnson era off to a rough start in Chicago. But at least Caleb SLAYYYYEEEDDDDD. 💅

i think some heated scraps and what not are healthy competition, but i think it can quickly cross the line into neanderthalism when they start actually doing full on punches to their face

i remember geno smith getting his jaw broken and he missed most of the season.. as a coach, i'd shit can any idiot that lost control so badly they IR'ed a teammate.. especially the starting QB

it has to be within the spirit of football competition, not UFC competition

This concerns me. It tells me that they probably still need another CB:

Projected starting CB Carlton Davis III didn't practice (it could be related to easing him back in after opening camp on the non-football injury list), which thrust third-year player Alex Austin into the starting lineup.

And this seems as if it's good news about the rookie, bad news about the current "starters" at LC and C, or both, though it's too early to get a definitive answer about that:

Third-round draft pick Jared Wilson again rotated in with the top unit -- at center and left guard. He was involved in one mishandled center/QB exchange with Maye.
