2025 Red Sox and MLB Thread

The Red Sox placed veteran reliever Liam Hendriks on the 15-day injured list before Friday’s game, confirming what multiple sources told MassLive. The club deemed the injury to be “right hip inflammation.”

This is the excuse for his crappy pitching after complaining that he wasn't being used enough...

I rather see him stay here. Good, solid player.

He's had a big drop off from last season, which was to be expected. So, if the Padres are willing to pay last year's prices for this year's player, I'm all for the Red Sox giving such an offer serious consideration. But, if the Padres are looking to pay this year's price for the player, the Red Sox should be politely declining any such offers.

I'd like to see him as a career Red Sox player. He's not a "superstar", but a very good, dependable player. He just seems like a team first kind of guy and a valuable asset to have in the clubhouse. He's not clamoring to make top dollar either,

"Jarren Duran and the Boston Red Sox agreed to a one-year contract with a team option for the 2026 season. The agreement avoids arbitration and is worth $3.85 million for the 2025 season, with a potential $8 million in 2026 if the option is picked up. The deal also includes incentives that could increase Duran's 2026 salary."

Well fuck. Angels up 6-0 with 1 out in the top of the first.
Looks like I'll be watching some John Wick tonight.

They're actually trying to mount a comeback. They've got the score at 7-5 in the 5th.
