I've not been on the McCarthy bandwagon but, after his imroved showing in the 4th quarter of last week's game, I didn't think he was going to suck so much tonight that the Vikings would lose to an Atlanta team that loves to piss games away. And I sure as heck didn't think he would be bad enough for 22-6 to happen.

He's went from one shit show (New England) to another (Jacksonville). Now he's in a system conducive to his abilities, with a head coach who will do everything to make him successful. And he's behind a high paid guy who gets hurt, which means that he should get some playing time for as long as he's a backup there.

It's not perfect, but that's a huge step up for the guy, and it's a way for him to stay in the league for years.
