There’s something really wrong with this story.
The most nonsensical thing for him to do is exactly this. It confirms everyone’s worst case scenario that this affects him and affects the team. Meanwhile, I cannot imagine that his wife would want to publicly be seen as a woman who is preventing him from one of the most important days of the year in addition to being cheated on.
Whatever is actually happening behind the scenes, the decision to publicly decide toskip a day of the draft is absolutely fucking retarded, and probably straight from the playbook of Stacy James or whatever fucking halfwit has been in their PR department overseeing all of these horrendous responses to scandals.
