Patty Mahomes GOAT

The Broncos have a coaching and QB issue brewing and they're not on the same page. The Chargers are the biggest what if team outside of Buffalo. The Raiders are the Raiders. MaGOAT will take back his crown

The Chargers lost both of their starting OTs. Still, as a team designed around the run, they managed to win 11 games and make the playoffs. Look for them to add to the RB corps, try picking up another WR, and improving over this past season.

And while they're doing that, the Chiefs are going to need a major overhaul which, if it does not work out, might mean that the team ends up out of the playoffs again.

What do you think the Chiefs should do this offseason to begin the overhaul?

Order of priority, though not necessarily of action:

First order of business - Replace Kelce
Second order of business - Fix offensive line

The rest can come after that.

I think they should try to move off of Jones but it will be a massive dead cap hit to do it this year ...

His contract is a monster ... not sure why Veach gave him that huge extension.

So why would you trade him and take the hit when he's a good player? If the contract is the problem, it seems to me that your approach would make it worse. Is there an easy first year out in the contract that I don't remember?

Trading him next year is ideal as the cap hit will be much lower. Not sure if they could find a trade partner this year that would be willing to eat his salary ...

the cap is going up alot again I think they'll be fine with the hit
Yeah. If they can find a trade partner they might just do it.

Again, why are you trying to get rid of a good player when they need more of those, not less? His deal is not a bad one, and they'd be needlessly taking a hit of more than $8 million. If you're going to cut loose of Marcus, you do it after 2027.

I thought they were talking about Chris Jones of the Chiefs....not Marcus Jones. Chris Jones prolly needs to get cut loose. Marcus absolutely not.

Oh FFS.... Forget everything I posted about this, then. I was wondering why you were being so adamant about the idea...
