Patty Mahomes GOAT

At the start of the final game the Pats were not eliminated
That's not what he said. He said "brady" never needed help to get to the playoffs, which I will let him slide for even though brady was one player on a team of fifty three players.

I'm here to eat crow. Come at me it's the name of the game...The team was just not good enough and my GOAT couldve played better.

I wish Mahomes the best of luck in his recovery.

Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL. Brutal, especially the LCL as that ligament protects side-to-side movement which is foundational to Mahomes game.

In terms of historical comps for what Year 1 after a major injury looks like for an improvisational QB like Mahomes, the closest parallels aren’t Brady or late-career Manning. They’re Cam Newton (2018) and Russell Wilson (2021).

Both guys still had talent. Both still had flashes.
What changed was margin.

Cam in 2018 didn’t suddenly fall off a cliff — he started the year strong, then gradually lost the willingness and ability to stress defenses physically. The offense narrowed, the hits accumulated, and the decline accelerated.

Russ in 2021 was similar. Still capable of highlight throws, but once escapability dropped and defenses stopped fearing chaos, the efficiency collapsed. Not because he forgot how to play, because his style depended on space that was no longer there.

That’s the risk with Mahomes post ACL + LCL.

The LCL matters here. His game is built on lateral movement, unstable bases, sudden stops, and off-platform throws. Even if he’s “cleared” by Week 1, defenses only need to believe he’s less willing to load that knee.

That leads to:
  • fewer miracle extensions
  • more throwaways
  • more late-down mistakes
  • bigger week-to-week variance

Which is exactly what we saw from Cam and Russ when they came back after major injury.

People shouldn’t just shrug off what Brady did over the course of two decades. The mind-blowing thing is that he probably could have won 4-5 more titles if BB hadn’t fucked things up from a personnel standpoint.

Mahomes will retire as one of the GOAT QBs for sure. He just won’t be THE GOAT. I’m not going to get sad for you guys just like nobody really had any mercy on us when we fell off, but the game is better with Mahomes on the field.

Sorry your QB had his knee turned into spaghetti 🍝

There’s a silver lining tho that might ease the pain…. Brady never had a losing season in his entire career

Good day sir

The Chiefs fell to the Los Angeles Chargers, which took them out of postseason consideration. The most brutal part was Mahomes suffering a season-ending knee injury in the final moments of the game. It would be announced that he tore his ACL. However, things have only gotten worse for him.

Not only did Patrick Mahomes tear his ACL, but he also tore his Lateral Collateral Ligament [LCL], according to NFL Network. That just made the situation exponentially worse.

The outlet further added that the extra layer can “complicate recovery.” However, it “doesn’t necessarily” change the nine-month timetable for his return.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback underwent surgery to repair his torn left ACL on Monday.

The team made the announcement on Monday. However, they did not address an LCL injury.

“Patrick Mahomes successfully underwent surgery in Dallas this evening with Dr. Dan Cooper to repair the tear in his left ACL,” the Chiefs posted to X. “Mahomes will begin his rehab process immediately.”

Dr. Dan Cooper, who performed Malik Nabers’ surgery, is the team doctor for the Cowboys. Cooper specializes in knee and shoulder injuries for the Carrell Clinic.

The Chiefs said Mahomes will begin his rehab immediately. He will have roughly nine months to prepare for Week 1 of the 2026 season. That puts him right at the start of the 2026 NFL season.

Gardner Minshew purports to be Kansas City’s starter for the final three games of the season. The team would need to sign him if they plan to use him next season.

Nah, Goodell looks like Brad Pitt compared to Wright. Wright bears the physical resemblance of Goebbels propaganda.

My friend, who doesn’t watch sports, walked in while I was watching his show, saw him, and said, “That guy looks like he killed Jesus!”

When your beloved franchise quarterback reaches All-Time Top X lists so early on in their careers, it makes the legacy blows/misses that might follow all the more painful. NFL playoff losses are the worst, but with a franchise quarterback playing legacy-games, it adds a thick layer of pain most fan bases aren’t fortunate enough to understand.

Nobody can empathize with you like New England.

Fortunately, it isn’t how you start, it’s how you finish. Mahomes could come screaming back two seasons from now with a fully healed ACL/whatever else, defeat someone in a Classic for a 4th Super Bowl ring, and near universally be considered the 3rd best QB of all time, and widely considered the 2nd best QB of all time.

When the Patriots lost the 2nd time to the Giants, it stung arguably more than losing the undefeated season, because if that’s how it ended, with two losses to Eli, that would have been a huge legacy blow for Brady in comparison to his legacy potential. At the time it was our football world imploding into a Black Hole.

Then he had an epic comeback against an All-Time Legion of Boom defense, won arguably the most epic NFL game of all time down 28-3 against the Falcons, beat the Rams, then won a 7th with a new fucking team his first year.

I don’t even think or care about those Giant losses anymore.

Problem is what made Kermit , Kermit were those gay scrambles and backyard football plays that only he could make. Now hes going to have to play from the pocket which I dont think he can read defenses as good as the great pocket passers
