I am not making excuses in any kind of way.But during the week, I heard kirwan and miller talking on sirius nfl about games between teams that looked very disparate on paper. they said, sometimes those are close games, because even though the records are far apart, the one team actually matches up very well against the other team.
The one promising thing about this defense is that they've made "Gotta-have-it" stops at the end of games. They just need to stay healthy and get MW back for the playoffs.
Potential good news on the injury front:

That's pretty standard for ankle sprains, obviously sucks.. But on the positive side, means they probably aren't season-enders.

Sounds like best case scenario is MCL sprain, worst case is multiple ligament tears.
