Political buzzword? THAT is an unintellectual lazy take. I use the evidence above (among other observations of Kraft) to determine that Mayo is 100% a DEI hire. I have the evidence. Is it proof? No it is not. We rarely have smoking guns. But all that evidence tells me I am correct. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Bobby saw coaching genius in his black HC with no experience.
But it is anything but a lazy, buzzword take.

1. Hand Job Bob gets his black HC, so he can beg for Boston Globe compliments and show the world how much he cares about the poor downtrodden minorities. What a guy!
2. This time, the black HC actually has experience and credentials. So no soft people will get vaginitis over DEI claims. It would actually NOT be a DEI hire.
3. Flores is an excellent coach. Sign me up for this.
