We can’t waste any of Maye’s career on Mayo experiments. Every time the camera cuts to him he looks like he’s pretending not to be in completely over his head.
Maye's not read to be a Super Bowl QB yet, so there's no hurry in getting a SB level head coach. If the team really thinks Mayo's got that for a ceiling, then Mayo getting a second year makes sense. What doesn't make sense is continuing to be cheap. Kraft can't take his money with him to the grave, so he doesn't need to be hoarding it as if he's a red dragon.
AVP hasn’t been great either, but I don’t think even Andy Reid as an OC could get close to 30 points out of this offensive roster either. It’s putrid, and a great example of why BB had to go.

Without a legit #1, I don't think Higgins is worth the money, and a rookie WR has little chance of being that legit WR1. If a blue chip LT is there, take him, get another T in FA, and then BPA the rest of the draft.

Higgins is worth the price if we find a guy like Brian Thomas, Jr in the draft. But this team has so many needs, most importantly along the offensive and defensive lines, that they could use an impact player pretty much everywhere. There isn’t one position on this team, save for maybe the QB and CB1, that doesn’t need to be upgraded. BB left the cupboard pretty bare.
Jonathan should take over play calling duties for just one game. With any luck, that will shut him up forever.
I remember when the problem was Jacoby. Well, the team went 2-5 with Jacoby as the main QB, and has gone 1-6 With Maye as the big dog.
So maybe, just maybe, the problem isn't the offensive play calling, or who's under center. Maybe, just maybe, the problem on offense is exactly what some of us have been saying since day one of the offseason:
If your line can't block, and your WRs can't get open and catch, you're fucked.
That this team failed to learn that lesson from Brady's last year here is a testament to the idiocy of man.
It's not really news but they had a segment on good morning football about are "we in or out" on cutting bait with Mayo. isaiah steinbeck who actually played with Mayo who was on the set said you have to at least consider it. Knows what kind of mentorship b had with Mayo . I'm sure he doesn't realize that Mayo was backstairsing bill for the last year or 2 of his tenure. but this is from prior to that when they were together on the team I guess. he said he loves mayo but you don't throw your coaches under the bus in the media.
