Remember in 2020 when Gilly was our favorite player on the team after Brady, coming off DPOY, and Bill didn’t want to give him a reasonable contract, wouldn’t listen to trade offers for a high draft pick, and then traded him for a bucket of spit to Carolina mid-season while other teams said they had no idea he was even available and would have traded more, and then everyone said he’s washed anyway? It’s four years later and he’s still balling out.

I played Josh Allen in Miami in his rookie year, and he didn't look that good. Josh Allen is a phenomenal player now. MVP-type player. Drake looks better than Josh did his rookie year."
Godchaux added that he believes Maye will start drawing players to New England to play with the Patriots quarterback, saying, "Everybody wants to play with Josh Allen. Everybody wants to play with Pat Mahomes. Soon, everyone will want to play with Drake Maye."

Maye is already Josh Allen 2.0 after only 4 starts with zero talent around him. Even Josh Allen wasn't Josh Allen 1.0 in his rookie season. He absolutely sucked that year. Next year Maye easily overtakes Josh Allen.

Godchaux also brings up another great point. Free agents will want to come play here with Maye. Another reason why starting him this year was a necessity (should have started even sooner.)
