I'm not going to get in to the idea of who the coach should be, as it's too soon to really grade Mayo. I will say that they should have kept the offensive system that worked for 20+ years.

They didn't run it with Cam.
They ran it year one with Jones
They scrapped it, then didn't scrap it, then modified, then scrapped it with Jones after that
So, yes, it did work, in the only year in the post-Brady era that it was actually used.
I really love the QB room on this team. Maye is an elite QB and will only continue to grow. Also, I've always liked Jacoby Brissett. Very solid individual and he brings a great veteran locker room presence. He can give you a solid game once every 3 years if you need it. Glad to have him as our backup QB.
This is bad. This is very bad. Not only is this a terrible week to make the switch, not only is this a case where Jacoby's getting basically benched because Polk wasn't smart enough to get his second foot down, but....
They released the news to the media before telling the team.

Maye has been better then brisset since Camp and should be good to go. If its ok to put a shitty QB out there and almost win some games then why not put a better QB out there and win those games?
