Didn't he already come and go here a couple of years ago? Sign us a REAL fucking Professional fucking Cornerback, you fucking lazy-ass, unjustifiably arrogant, fucking incompetent Nepo-Tard motherfuckers.

He's competing for the CB4 position. This team is as good as just about anyone from CB1-CB3.

Russell ahead of Bird.

IMO

Ruth is #1, both in NY and Boston, though I could see someone arguing Russell at #1 due to the longevity difference.
Russell (not Rusell) #2

It's Brady or Orr for #3 and #4. Orr significantly changed the game hockey, while Brady has the longevity.

Bird is #5

I won't bother with the rest, except to say that Pierce has no business being on that list.

can interpret this 2 ways

1. He wants to extend both of them early, which will ultimately be cheaper for us long term
2. He's a cheap jew and is essentially saying we cant afford both, which means Gonzo.. a top 3 CB in the league that was drafted and developed, he'll let walk.. which would be complete fucking bullshit and seriously hurt our defense

I think it goes back to a question I've asked (though maybe not on this forum)...

The idea used to be that you signed a guy early because he was willing to take less money in return for the earlier payday. So why sign a guy early if you're not getting something in return for giving up years of lower cost service? If signing a guy in year 3 means paying him more than any other CB in the game, why not wait until after year 5 for that, and save yourself (and the the team) money for two years?

It's actually financially stupid to give out top-of-the-markets contracts to first round draftees in just their third seasons.

because its usually an extension, so he would get a signing bonus right away but the remaining years on his rookie deal would still be discounted and by the time the new years kick in, it will be cheaper than if you had waited
