So am I.

Strange69 should be our starting LG right now.

You're out of your mind to think that.

...We'll end with a player who has maybe lived up to expectations because the expectations were very low to begin with. Strange was always regarded as an overdraft after the Patriots selected him with the No. 29 overall pick in 2022. A starter for two seasons, Strange played only three games in 2024 because of a knee injury. He was penciled in as the Patriots' starting left guard for this season but got outplayed in camp by rookie Jared Wilson and lost the job, then got cut before the season began.
The Dolphins signed Strange to a low-cost contract after he was cut and then moved him into the starting lineup to replace the struggling Kion Smith in Week 4. And Strange has been ... not very good. His pass block win rate ranks 60th and his run block win rate of 62.8% is even worse, ranking 64th out of 65 qualifying guards. Guard is one of the positions where the Dolphins are going to be looking for some new players in the upcoming offseason. The good news is that they won't owe Strange any money beyond 2025.

2025 NFL offseason: Signings that have and haven't worked

...Cole Strange and the right guard position have not drawn the same ire as rookie Jonah Savaiinaea has at left guard this season, but the film illustrates that Strange is often the player getting the extra support with slide protections.

Consequently, his pressure numbers aren’t as glaring as what Savaiinaea’s have been while being left on more islands than Miami probably anticipated when it committed to starting a rookie. But make no mistake about it, the Dolphins’ low red zone issues against Washington were often centered around the execution at right guard. Whether it was Strange falling off the block of Javon Kinlaw on a third-and-goal carry by De’Von Achane at the one-yard-line that got stuffed or him getting collapsed and washed backwards on the fourth-down attempt by Ollie Gordon, those reps were disruptive and it’s been a theme all season...

The Dolphins have a clear double-dip roster upgrade waiting after their bye week, if they’re bold enough to make the move

Wilson's the Worst OLman on a not-very-good OL; so yeah I'm not.

Wilson's better than Strange, and likely on an upward trajectory while Strange is on a fast boat to NFL backupland, so yeah, you are.

Can't play when you're always injured either.. Wilson may end up at center eventually, but for this year at least, he's been okay. Hopefully next year they draft a RT and a guard early and shore up those spots for years to come.
