So it looks like Dugger, in order to facilitate the trade, allowed a renegotiation that would land him free agency in 2026. I care nothing about paying his salary this year.. we have a fuck-ton of cap. I just didn't want the team to be on the hook for future years, and this deal seems to have accomplished that.
