Patriots news

Also due in no small part to the ease in which opponents have passed the ball against us whenever their protection allowed, because 1) our Safeties room is the Worst in football; 2) Carlton the Doorman Davis; and 3) our LBs besides Marty McPoo (maybe) can't cover anyone.

pass defense is middling, like 15-20th in league but id say our CB situation is better than most teams with Gonzo, Davis and Marcus Jones.. Jones we should start thinking about extending, he's a great nickel corner and elite returner on special teams...

but our defensive line is elite and statistically one of the best, if not the best in the entire league.. also if teams are getting stuffed on the ground, they'll naturally go to the air more which could be why teams put up more air yards

Chaisson i thought was a JAG but he's been doing really well, Landry is a solid player and leader, Spillane is leading tackler on team

games are won and lost in the trenches, overall our defense is pretty good and getting better..

going from where we were last year talent wise to this year is pretty remarkable.. still plenty of areas for improvement, but that can be said of all 32 teams

I don't understand the worries about this defense.

We give up early scores against inferior opponents because we are very vanilla against shit teams. Why would you be aggressive and exotic against teams you know you will easily beat?

The team's best defensive game all season long came against Buffalo in prime time. There is no one better in the league than Mike Vrabel when it comes to game planning against top offenses. The defense brings it when it matters most. That is all that matters.

The Doorman is one of the most Over-Paid players in the entire league; and there is Zero even replacement-level talent behind the 3 starters.
Agree about Marcus.

We need another pass-rushing DE; and Spillane makes most of his tackles down-field.

Such as replacing the Entire Safeties room except for Woodson...and he's no great shakes either.

Went into Walmart this morning to grab some groceries. Have a Patriots T-shirt on. Run into a 90 year old man in the meat department with an old beat up Jets hat on. Give him a nod with an inadvertent, slightly obnoxious smirk, and even though he was million years old, he says “oh fuck off” as he walks away.

Lolololol
