Given our team sucks but the most important position in football seem to be a franchise lock, my favorite thing about this season is the anguish and hopelessness it’s inflicting on Jets fans.

Team is shit.

Rodger’s is washed and not going to even come close to replicating even Montana/Favre level success.

They can’t get rid of him without a massive cap hit.

No worthwhile coach will want to play there because of how fragile the job is.

They have to watch Sam Darnold and Geno Smith perform at adequate to possible Super Bowl levels while they get washed Rodger’s diva’ism.

They started saying “The Pig is Ripe” in a delusionally incorrect assessment of Brady dominance going back to like 2010, got rekt for an entire other decade, and then when the Brady era ended, Belichick still kicked their ass.

When everyone was done, the Bills were the AFC East Champions, they still sucked, and now New England’s rebuild is a billion times further along and more promising than theirs is, which is a couple months away from a possible NEW rebuild.

How bad can it get?

Be hilarious if Drake Maye now starts sweep-destroying them every season for the next 15 years.

If Eliot Wolf can just not completely shit himself in free agency and the draft next year (and that involves fixing the LT position and getting a WR1 or at least a high level WR2), the Patriots should be good enough to at least sniff long range playoff hopes.
