Former Michigan Wolverines coach Sherrone Moore caught a break on Friday. A couple of months after A couple of months since his arrest and booking on home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering, Moore arrived at his latest court hearing.
On Dec. 10, 2025, Moore broke into his personal assistant Paige Shiver’s apartment, where he terrorized the woman with a knife. Moore allegedly grabbed butter knives and kitchen scissors while threatening to kill himself inside the apartment.
Michigan fired Moore hours before the incident. They replaced Jim Harbaugh’s former offensive coordinator with Kyle Whittingham.
Sherrone Moore Agrees To Plea Deal In Disturbing Case
Moore arrived in court for a hearing over the validity of his arrest warrant. Judge J. Cedric Simpson met with prosecutors and Moore’s lawyers for 90 minutes behind closed doors. The hearing started at around 2:30 pm. The counts of felony home invasion, misdemeanor stalking and misdemeanor breaking and entering against Moore were dropped as part of a plea deal.
As part of the deal, Moore agreed to plead no contest to two new misdemeanors: One count of malicious use of a telecommunications device in the context of a private relationship and another count of trespassing, the Daily Mail reported.
“We maintain that the felony stalking charge and the entering without permission charge, all the charges against Mr. Moore, were not supported by facts of law,” defense attorney Ellen Michaels told reporters
He will have to wait until April 14 for the verdict on the two additional charges.

Former NFL star Adrian Peterson has one less thing to worry about as far as his legal issues go.
Peterson, a four-time first-team All-Pro who was the league’s MVP in 2012, reached a deal with prosecutors in Minnesota following a 2025 DWI arrest.
TMZ Sports has obtained court documents showing the ex-running back was sentenced to 90 days at the Hennepin County Adult Corrections facility. However, he won’t be doing any jail time, as the sentence has been suspended for the next year.
“Peterson must perform 32 hours of community service within 180 days … and, as part of his probation agreement, he’ll have to attend a victim impact panel. He was also required to complete an alcohol screening, which documents indicate he already completed,” TMZ reports.
Other charges were also dropped as part of the deal.
Adrian Peterson Still Has Another Serious Case Pending
Peterson will need to stay out of trouble over the next year. He can’t be involved in any more reckless driving incidents or any drug or alcohol-related offenses.
Police pulled the former RB over after he attended a Vikings 2025 NFL Draft Party last year. He was reportedly driving at 83 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. A breathalyzer test revealed he was .14 over the legal limit.
Despite the above, the 40-year-old isn’t quite out of the woods yet; he still has an ongoing DWI matter in Texas.
Last October, officers found the three-time rushing yards leader passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle while the engine was still running. They also found a handgun in his glove box while searching the vehicle.
He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, as well as DWI.
Peterson will attend court in Texas for those matters later this week.
A man from Georgia who was already convicted in a fraud case now faces new federal charges. Prosecutors say he ran a large scheme involving pro athletes and a young woman. Authorities say 34-year-old Kwamaine Jerell Ford pretended to be an adult star while he was in custody and after his release.
They claim he used fake identities to trick people into sharing personal information. They also accuse him of forcing a woman into sex work. The charges include wire fraud, computer fraud, identity theft, and sex trafficking.
Ford has pleaded not guilty, and officials are holding him without bail as he waits for trial.
Prosecutors say this case is linked to his past crimes. In 2019, he was convicted of computer fraud and identity theft in a scheme that made about $325,000. Authorities now believe he continued similar activities between 2020 and 2024, even while under supervision.
Alleged Scheme Targeted Athletes And A Young Woman
Prosecutors say Ford used a “two-pronged approach.” First, he allegedly pretended to be an adult film star online and contacted players from the NFL and NBA. He offered explicit photos and asked for their login details. Then, he acted like Apple customer service to collect usernames, passwords, and security codes.
Investigators say he used this information to get into financial accounts and steal credit and debit card details. The case mentions several athletes but does not reveal their names.
“While serving time for stealing credit card numbers from athletes and celebrities to fund his lifestyle, Ford allegedly engaged in the same conduct again,” US Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg said in a statement.
Authorities also accuse Ford of targeting a young woman. They say he posed as a porn star in 2021 and promised to help her modeling career. Prosecutors claim he pressured her into meeting men, including professional athletes, for paid sex.
Hertzberg said the case took a darker turn. “Disturbingly, the indictment alleges that Ford went even further and used a fraudulent online persona to traffic a young woman and coerce her to produce hidden camera videos of commercial sex acts with unknowing individuals,” he said.
Prosecutors say the situation became more serious. They claim Ford used fake identities to control her and forced her to secretly record these encounters without people knowing. He also arranged travel, set up meetings, and handled payments.
Records show Ford left federal prison in January 2022 and was under supervision. Later, officials placed him on home detention as part of a re-entry program.
The Justice Department is still investigating the case.
